From Diamond Lake to the Keys

Michigan is known for its snowbirds that head to Florida and the Keys in the winter, only to return and bask in the sun and lakes of Michigan all summer. This group of musicians first met at one of Diamond Lake's infamous Sandbar parties, only to bump into each other again while vacationing in Key West. They decided to bring some of the energy of the Gulf and the Keys back to Michigan and share it via music all year round! We now refer to the island in Diamond Lake as "The Northernmost Key".

  • The congas, bongos, and cajon are manned by Spencer, the barefoot man,
  • holding down the bass groove is B.O.B.,
  • while guitars and vocals are provided by "Mad" Anthony Wayne.

Merging reggae beats, dance songs, classic rock riffs, and a sense of humor, The Sandbar Bums will make you want to kick off your shoes, crack open an ice cold beer, and have a beach party! With a constantly evolving set list including hits from artists like:
